“Mengaktualisasi Peran Mahasiswa Dalam Pengembangan Sumber Daya Masyarakat”

In commemoration of Pancasila Day, the Biology Education Program proudly launched the first session of the METAMORFOSA academic webinar series—an inspirational platform to foster students’ self-awareness, leadership, and social engagement aligned with the spirit of biological metamorphosis. Held on June 1st, 2025, the session carried the theme “Actualizing the Role of University Students in Community Development” and was mandatory for all Biology Education students.

The first speaker, Faraz Juandi (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia), discussed the transformation of students into agents of change who apply academic knowledge to address real-world societal issues. He shared strategies for designing sustainable community empowerment programs and anticipating field-based challenges. Meanwhile, Regia Rizki Pratama (UPN Veteran Jawa Timur) highlighted student involvement in volunteering as a means of community empowerment and offered practical tips on securing fully funded opportunities for both national and international volunteer programs.

This inspirational session represents a strategic effort to cultivate future educators who embody academic excellence, social responsibility, and a strong commitment to community empowerment and sustainable development.
